Nous n'avons pas fait les mises-à-jour du blog aussi souvent que voulu... mais nous voici dans la région de Philadelphie enfin! Treize heures d'autobus Greyhound hier pour se rendre à Philly (dont le trafic de heure de pointe pour rentrer et sortir de New York ou nous avons changé de autobus), puis le train de banlieue jusqu'à Collingswood New Jersey, l'autre côté de la rivière Delaware pour se rendre chez Dina notre hôte Airbnb. Collingswood est une charmante petite ville... la rue principale plein de bons restos et boutiques intéressantes... MAIS tout ferme à 22h pile et c'est une ville «sèche»!!! Vous connaissez pas ça? Aux Etats-Unis il y a villes ou on ne peut pas acheter de l'alcool (dont la bière, vin...). On peut le boire et on peut amener sa bouteille de vin dans les restos. Suzanne est surprise d'apprendre l'existence de ces villes sèches. :-)

We haven't been able to update the blog as often as we wanted... beut here we are finally in the region of Philadelphia! Thirteen hours on Greyhound buses to get to Philly (including rush-hour traffic into and out of New York where we changed buses), then the suburban train to Collingswood which is across the Delaware river in New Jersey were we met our Airbnb host Dina. Collingswood is a charming little town... the main street is full of nice restaurants and interesting shops... BUT everything closes at 10 pm and it is a "dry" city!!! Don't know what that is? In the US there are lots of cities where you can't buy alcohol (including beer, wine etc). You can drink it and restaurants allow you to "bring your own bottle" of wine. Suzanne was surprised to learn of the existance of such cities.
